We celebrated Grandpa's birthday during our weekend visit to PA. Below are some pictures from our visit.

You're Invited

Claire: Hmm, who is this from?
It looks like a birthday party invitation for my friend Stevi.
Yeah! We'll be there. It sounds like fun.
I just hope the cake tastes better than the invitation.

Crafty Baby

Grandpa Bill made a generous donation to Montessori.
Claire (with the help of Ms. Amanda) made a thank you note today at school!
Thank you Grandpa Bill.

Multi-talented

Claire can roll over and play peek-a-boo at the same time!

I saw her do it for the first time a few days ago and my mom was able to catch it on Skype.  Since then I've been trying to capture it on video.  Today I was finally successful.

More evidence of Claire's rolling over...

Bonfire Babies

David and I visited our friends the Freakleys last Sunday night for a bonfire. This marked the first time we ventured out with baby Claire post-bath. We gave her a bath and a bottle, bundled her up and let her sleep in baby Ben's room while we visited with friends. It worked amazingly well!

P.S. Thanks to Pam, Amber & Stevi for Claire's hat! How cute is she?!

Grandpa Bills Visits

C: This weekend Grandpa Bill came for a visit.  We had a great time visiting Daddy at the VMI football game and going to lunch at Salerno's.  Thanks for coming Grandpa!  I can't wait to see  you again in two more weeks!

A Visit from Cousin T

C:  So, this weekend my big cousin Thomas visited.

Auntie Melissa checks out a stylish camouflage recliner at Grand Furniture.
T: So Claire, when you get to be a big kid, you won't need this exersaucer to stand up.   Believe it or not, you'll be able to crawl around anywhere you want!  You can even sneak up the stairs if you want.
C:  Thomas, you're so silly!

Auntie Jessica Visit

Aunt Jessica visited a night last week and gave Claire her second ballet lesson.  Just look how much Claire has grown since her last photo session with Jessica!

If Something Seems to Good to Be True...

After a few nights of sleeping all night.   Claire has decided it's overrated.  It's much more fun to play with Mommy & Daddy at 3:00 AM.

Innocent Bystander

Zuko gets in the way of some sitting practice.

He gets even later by taunting Claire, showing how easily he can roll over.

Four Month Shots & Growing Like a Weed

Claire received her four month vaccinations today.  Those were certainly no fun.  However, with a little baby Tylenol and some cuddling, she seems to have come through it unscathed.
Some new statistics:
Height 25 1/4 inches
Weight 15 lbs.
She's growing up fast!

For those of you wondering...

Claire continues to sleep through the night.  Let's hope this isn't just a short phase.  That would be too cruel.

Tummy Time Flashback

Just look at the difference four months can make!

Swimming?

Apparently making this swimming motion is a first step towards crawling. If not, at least Claire will be ready to visit Mimi Karen and swim in her pool next summer.

A Visit from Baby Ben

Today I had a little taste of what it's like to care for two infants (Ben is a month and a half younger than Claire) at the same time. Even though Baby Ben was very good, I have a new appreciation for my friend Cheryl. She has three toddlers! Wonder how she does it? Just click here.

Claire keeps a watchful eye on Baby Ben as he plays on her playmat. She was very good at sharing!

Ben's Mommy Melissa near the end of his visit. Ben was also happy to share his mommy's lap for a while.

HELP! We've become THOSE people!

Notice the nice, neutral pack and play in the corner... we chose it because we didn't want baby things to overpower our living space. I swore I wouldn't have baby toys with batteries. They need to develop their own imagination, right? Just look what we've become. We've tried every gadget (many DO work) just to get five minutes to take a shower. How sad.
