Partners in Crime

Claire had a snack of goldfish this afternoon.
After a few minutes of hiding around the
corner of the couch, she came back and signed "more."
I soon realized where are the goldfish were really going...

More Cupcakes!

Birthday Flashback:
Claire enjoys a birthday cupcake
at Saturday's celebration...
Daddy, more cupcakes!
For me?
I want a pink one.
Wow!  Sprinkles!
Hmmm, where should I begin?
Do you think I can finish it in one bite?
Anyone want a taste?
Mimi, I think I need a bath!

How Big is Claire?

Sooooo Big!
Some official stats from Claire's
 12-month well baby check-up :
Height 29 inches - 70%
Weight 21 lbs. - 50%
Her head circumference is still in the 10th percentile.
Oh well, she's still very cute, despite her tiny head.  :)
Just check out the big girl with her pea pod doll
 (another gift from Auntie Lulu).

UPDATE:
David has requested that I add:
CUTENESS - 100%

RuffleButts

Claire sporting a new birthday outfit
(one of her many gifts from Auntie Lulu).
How can you go wrong with something
from a place called www.RuffleButts.com?

Enjoy the cuteness:
P.S. Note the stylish silver monogrammed
bracelet from Shannon.
Claire has suddenly become way more
stylish than Mommy.

Cheers!

Claire has been really enjoying her pink tea set from Rebecca, Randy and Cameron!
She's already learned how to make a  toast!

Balloon Fun

Claire's latest favorite toy is a Happy Easter helium ballon that was part of a birthday gift from Sam Burns.  It has lost enough of the helium that it floats around the floor and slowly drifts up.   It has been a permanent fixture in our living room the last few days and has made a few narrow escapes from the ceiling fan.  I'm not sure what we'll do when it finally deflates.
Thanks Sam for the balloon!
Who knew how much fun it would provide!

Montessori Birthday Celebration

Claire and her Montessori friends celebrated her first
birthday with circle time and mini blueberry muffins.
Thank you Ms. Amanda and Ms. Kelly for inviting us to the classroom!

Happy 1st Birthday Claire!

Claire,
In honor of your first birthday, I'm offering a flashback to your actual birth day.  What a wonderfully exciting day we had on April 24, 2008.  (I feel tired just looking at these pictures.) I can't believe you're already a year old! Mommy and Daddy have sure learned a lot over the past year!
We love you,
Mommy & Daddy

Best. Toy. Ever.

Claire is recently obsessed with her new
Melissa and Doug magnetic hide and seek puzzle.
It has kept her entertained for 20 consecutive minutes!
(No small feat for a one-year-old)
Claire wants to thank Cousin Thomas for the recommendation and Grandma & Grandpa Sigler for the wonderful gift.

Birthday Celebration with Pop Pop and Reenee

Claire is beginning to think she could get
used to all this birthday celebration!
Tonight we celebrated Claire's first birthday with David's parents.  She LOVED her new wooden puzzles and other gifts from Grandma and Grandpa and her Leap Frog bus and new dress from Aunt Nancy and Uncle Bruce.
 Thank you all!

Another perk of turning one... cupcakes for dinner!

Daddy even ordered up a rainbow to put the finishing touches on Claire's special day!

Busy Girl

What do you do when you can't get into
Zuko's dog food?  You protest by pulling all the stuff off
 Mommy's pantry shelves.
(Yes, we seem to eat a lot of microwave rice.)
I also happened to catch her standing alone for a few seconds.  She usually stands alone only when she's prepoccupied with something else and doesn't realize she's doing it.
