Sick Baby

I haven't had much time to post lately. I've been tending to a sick and very needy baby girl. What started as a hoarse voice, quickly turned to the croup. Not much fun at all. The good news is that after a few days of medicine and nebulizer treatments, she's much better!
Now I'm busy preparing for Thanksgiving. We're hosting my parents, David's parents and Geoff, Melissa & Thomas. We'll have lots of pictures to share soon. Also...
COMING SOON!
Claire is beginning to crawl (I guess you could call it that) and I've spotted the tiniest tooth beginning to break through. Big things to come. Stay tuned. :)

Still Under Construction

David, Claire and I stopped in WV the way home from our KY trip.  We dropped in and checked out the progress on my parents' new house.  Claire says, "what I could see, I liked."  Although, as you can see, she didn't see much.

Hangin' with the Big Boys

During our recent trip to Lexington, Kentucky, David, Claire and I stayed with my college roommate, Cheryl, and her three boys.  We had a great time!  Claire LOVED playing with all the big boy toys.  I also had the chance to get together with another college roommate, Jen.  It was a wonderful Lexington reunion weekend.

P.S. An update... We were visiting KY to attend the UK vs. VMI basketball game. Well, VMI won! It was quite the surprise victory. David and I had tickets right behind the VMI bench (Thanks Coach Baucom) and the game was incredible. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures to share. I wasn't allowed to bring my Nikon D80 into Rupp Arena, it was considered too "professional."

Thank you Workman Family!

During our weekend trip to Kentucky, our friend Mary and her daughters took care of Zuko.  This evening we unpacked Zuko's bag and found a letter from the girls.
Thanks again!  Zuko misses you all!

More pictures from our weekend coming soon...

From One Lexington to Another

David, Claire and I will leave our Lexington to head to Lexington, KY
for the basketball season opener.  UK (my alma mater)  plays VMI and we have great tickets behind VMI's bench.  Cheryl (my college roomate) has graciously agreed to keep Claire during the game and let us stay with her overnight.  I'll be sure to post pictures.
Go Cats!  Go Keydets!  This one will be tough.

Happy Birthday Cousin Thomas!

Thomas,
I can't believe you're one already!  It seems like just yesterday you made your appearance and we were still awaiting the arrival of baby Claire.  What a difference a year makes!  We can't wait to see you on Thanksgiving!

Mommy's Home... and she brought toys!

I haven't posted for the last few days because I've been enjoying some much needed "Mommy Time." I spent the last four days at the SRATE (Southeast Regional Association of Teacher Educators) Conference in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I stayed in my friend Karrah's great condo. THANKS KARRAH! The conference was wonderful and, of course, I managed to find some time to do some shopping. I bought a few toys for Claire for Christmas, however, I couldn't wait and already gave them to her. (Oh well, I'm sure she'll get plenty from her Grandparents!) Her favorite was the hedgehog as evidenced below:

I Voted...

Well not really, but Mommy & Daddy did.
Personally, I'm suffering from a little Election Fatigue. Mommy & Daddy said they'll fill me in on who will be our next president in the morning (or when I wake up at 2:00 AM).

The Red, White & Binky

Happy Election Day!
