More Christmas Cuteness

During our Christmas visit with John and Irene,

we had a wonderful brunch at the

House Mountain Inn in Lexington.

While Claire loved the omelette bar and waffles,

she mostly enjoyed the taxidermy in the Inn lobby.

Perhaps even more than Claire, David and I have been enjoying Claire's Mega Blocks (a Christmas gift from her ReNee and Pop Pop Sigler.) Lots of my incredible creations are just too tempting to resist and Claire likes to play Godzilla. However, it's always followed by a "sorry, Mommy" and a pat on the back as a consolation.

Christmas 2009 Flashback

I'm finally getting around to posting some of our photos from Christmas. Below are some photos of Claire's new room at her Mimi and Pop Pop Wright's house. She LOVED her new room and we ended up spending much of our vacation being served tea and cupcakes in Claire's play kitchen. Thank you Mom and Dad for a wonderful break and for Claire's BEAUTIFUL room! As you can see from the photos, she was happy to share her room with Pop Pop and Daddy.

The Hiatus is Over!

where have we been?

The truth is, our sweet, new "old" house has us

up to our ears in primer, paint, putty,

joint compound, sandpaper, hinges, hardware,

and lots of other renovation chaos.

Our work is far from over but it's about

time to share some of the scary "befores."

PREPARE YOURSELF...

So, could you see past the plaid wallpaper

to the loads of potential?

Do we get a free pass for the lack of Claire cuteness?

Finished "afters" aren't quite ready.

I won't go into much detail into what you

should expect, except I think it's safe to say there

will be significantly less

wallpaper, avocado green molding, and shag carpet.

Christmas 2009

David, Claire and I are finally getting back to our normal routine after all our holiday travels. We have lots of blogging to do, including some before and after photos of all of the work that has been done to our new/old house! Until I get a chance to organize all my photos, I'll leave all of you Claire fans with some photos of her ripping into her gifts from Mimi Karen and Papa Bill on Christmas morning.

She certainly LOVED opening all her gifts! (As well as the ones that didn't belong to her.)

P.S. I am now of the firm belief that all pajamas should

come with a matching tutu. Agreed?
