We had a great trip to Charlottesville

to watch the VMI vs. UVA game.

It was great to catch up with Melissa,

Geoff, Thomas & Baby Jay for some tailgating.

However, it was SO HOT it didn't take long for the

kiddies (and their parents) to call it a day.

The last picture of baby Jay shows how

we were all feeling by the end of the game...

Friday at Montessori

An Active Imagination

Claire's teacher has sent the pictures below in the

updates the last few days.

Claire has been pretending to have a bucket hat,

be a pirate on a boat,

and perhaps the furthest stretch of her imagination

-- have a baby sister.

Peace Out(ing)

Claire & her Montessori class had a walking

field trip to W&L this morning to celebrate

World Peace Day.

They handed out peace doves to the

students on their way to class.

An Apple Party

Have I mentioned we moved to Mayberry?

This weekend we were invited to a block party

on our new street to press apple cider

and meet our new neighbors.

Claire had a blast!

She was obsessed the floating apples in the water

and loved playing with all the little girls on our block.

When we left she said,

"Mommy, can we go to apple party tomorrow?"

Shouldn't everyday be an apple party?

An apple a day, right?

The After-School Alligator

Everyday for the past few days

when Claire walks in the door from school,

the first thing she says is, "look there's my alligator."

Actually, Claire's "alligator" is the sun coming through

the half-moon window over our front door...
