Photo Flashback

One year ago today...

The Breakfast Club

Claire shares her breakfast with

her freshly groomed doggie.

She was so excited to pick him up after grooming

yesterday she clapped for him the whole way home.

I'm still not convinced that she doesn't

think we have a new dog.

All By Myself

Claire insisted on eating spaghetti all by herself tonight.

Please note the use of a utensil!

(A vast improvement over the mac & cheese debacle)

Eventually she resorted back to her hands...

and decided it would be fun to

make a pile beside the bowl.

Believe it or not,

she did manage to get some to her mouth.

Visit with Grandpa Bill

My dad visited from WV this past weekend

to spend a little time with Claire.

We had a wonderful lunch at Macados downtown

where we sat on the balcony and watched the

horse drawn buggy tours pass by...

(for those of you who were at our wedding

this is the spot of our rehearsal dinner)

and, of course, no visit with Grandpa Bill

is complete without at least one trip to Lowes...

Claire is now officially geared up for lots of DIY projects.

School "Work"

Claire's teachers shared some photos of

what she's been up to this week at Montessori.

As you can see, she's been very busy working on her fine motor skills...

and giving her baby a bath.

Claire wants to thank Grandma for her new Elmo DVD.

While watching a muppet talk about going

potty is not my idea of fine cinema,

I'm willing to do whatever it takes.

So far all Elmo has taught Claire how to do is take off her own diaper.

This is NOT a good thing.

Look Familiar?

Reminiscent of her mommy at age one,

Claire has taken to sucking her two fingers.

Hopefully it won't last long,

since I was school-aged before I stopped.
