Claire's First Haircut

Claire had her first haircut today with Jamie

at Echo Salon in Lexington. We only cut a tiny bit,

but it seems to have helped a bit with the fuzziness...

When Daddy's Away...

David has been out of town for a couple of

evenings, so Claire kept herself

busy tonight by making Zuko "blanket hats"...

and getting her toenails painted!

Congrats, Doctors!

I ventured back over Afton Mountain to C'ville this week to celebrate with two friends from my doctoral progam at UVA. Congrats to Dr. Kim & Dr. Elizabeth, both had successful dissertation defenses on Friday! Claire had an excellent time playing with Kim's two girls and Elizabeth's baby boy at the Saturday cookout. It was great to see you all!

An Orange a Day...

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Hi Daddy,

I hope you had a happy birthday yesterday! Can you believe you're 31 and I'm almost 2! Mommy wants to apologize for being a party pooper on your birthday by being sick and feeling only slightly better than she felt following my "birth" day. I promise I'll help her make you a cake very soon! Thanks for being the best daddy ever.
