Lexington Festival Fun!

Claire called Mimi Karen in Florida to tell her all about a wonderful day she spent with Papa Bill at this year's Downtown Lexington Festival. We loved being able to walk from our new house and Claire obviously loved all the festivities and seeing all her friends from school!

Heard at Our House

In the last 24 hours our 2-year-old has turned tween.

Two recent comments:

"Oh my gosh, Mom, this dinner is so yum."

"That's awesome, David."

What is going on?

Back to School!

We just dropped Claire off for her third day of school. When I went to pick her up after the first day, I was greeted with, "No Mommy, I'm staying here." She loves her new classroom and her new teachers! While we'll certainly miss Amanda & Kelly, Claire is so excited to still have Addie (her partner in crime) in her class. She is full of stories about her new classmates and her new class pet "Hunny Bunny."

Happy Birthday Berry Picking!

Claire, Papa John and had a wonderful birthday outing to Orchardside Farm in Raphine, Virginia. In honor of my birthday, Claire decided to taste several berries to make sure they just perfect for mommy!
