Death Valley Comes to Casa de Sigler
Two weeks ago we had the opportunity to
break in our house with lots of guests.
It was the 10th college reunion of
David's Class of 2000 W&L friends.
I didn't get the chance to take many photos,
but below are a few:
A Shower for Shannon
For the few followers of the blog out there
who've been wondering why I haven't posted:
This past week I've been busy working on my
friend Shannon's baby shower.
It went off yesterday without a hitch
and was a great celebration of the pending
arrival of baby Owen!
Since the majority of my time went into all the details,
below are some photos to showcase all my craftiness
and a few photos of the glowing soon-to-be mother.

Tiny Dancers: Claire's first Dance Class
Claire attended her first dance class today at TheStudio,
my friend Jessica's new dance studio.
Given that David and I had one of our first dates at
a Rockbridge Ballet performance,
it's only right that Claire love to dance.
And boy does she!
She LOVED being a ballerina!
As soon as she walked through the door
she made David sit down so she could show
him what she had learned.

A Smithfield Plantation Surprise
The Siglers visited this past weekend to help with Claire
while David worked the VMI home football game
and I headed to the Hotel Roanoke to attend the
W&L Women's Leadership Summit.
Thanks Ree Nee & Pop Pop!
On Sunday we traveled to the Smithfield Plantation
in Blacksburg, Virignia to surprise the Bowens,
John & Irene's friends from PA who have retired in Blacksburg.
We had a chance to watch Mr. Bowen in his debut
performance with his band and sample
some local asian pears.
What a great fall day!
